Re-polling will be held in 16 booths across five districts in Chhattisgarh tomorrow (Nov 25). The districts are Sarguja, Jashpur, Korba, Raipur and Rajnandgaon.
Some of these booths had recorded more polling than the number of listed voters, while balloting could not take place at the others due to different reasons, officials in the the State Election Office said.
Chhattisgarh saw two-phase polling on November 14 and 20.
Meanwhile, re-polling was held in 33 booths in Bastar division today (Nov 24). Voting could not be held in these booths during the first phase on November 14 due to Naxal violence and looting of electronic voting machines (EVMs).
The Election Commission had made elaborate security measures for the re-polling.
Counting of votes will be held on December 8.
